Alpharetta has recently implemented small, but welcome, changes to the park to improve the user experience. Furthermore, users can also expect some delays.
Sewer Work
From early October, park goers can expect to see closures on the Big Creek Greenway going North towards Preston Ridge Park, near the YMCA. These closures are due to work on the sewer system that runs parallel to the Greenway. Sporadic closures are expected to last until December and there are no signs indicating it will affect users going South.
Bathroom Work
Visitors may have notices that the single stall bathrooms may not be sufficient for a park as busy as Rock Mill. Recently, there has been an addition of two porta-potties to the park in the parking area closest to Kimball Bridge Road. Another small change is a recently redone bathroom floor in the Restroom buildings.
Construction Complete
As of now, the construction that had been occurring last year to complete a section of the Greenway that acts as a small loop and that towards the road is finished. The landscape has also been placed and is filling in.
